What time is it in Arizona?

Soon after arriving in Arizona we realized we had no idea what time it was anymore. Researching the topic only confused us more.  It turns out that Arizona does not observe daylight savings time unless you are in the Navajo reservation.

During our 24 hour dip into Arizona temperatures peaked at 105 degrees so I suppose Arizonians don't need one more hour of sunlight, I can't say that I blame them.

We did take the time to see Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona.  The trek from the parking lot and back is a mile and a half round trip, but definitely worth it!  If you venture this hike bring a camel-back full of ice water and also sunscreen.

Here is some perspective on the trek

Bottom looking up.

I should probably mention that Carmen did this in jeans and high heel boots.

Here is the money shot that you are looking for.

See you in Utah.

  1. Get that girl some hiking boots. We saw the info on this when we were in Bluff. Glad we passed since a hike like that was not on our agenda!

  2. But, those are my hiking boots! :) I bought a pair of very sturdy motorcycle boots and they are comfy and durable. I do have tennis shoes for the tough stuff though.
