Celebrating a Milestone... Nomad Style

Life on a motorbike means we are limited on space. Therefore we only have what we absolutely need with us. We do not collect souvenirs like most people who travel do. We send postcards to friends, loved ones and ourselves but no doodads or trinkets to someday collect dust.

Fun fact: Souvenir is a French word that means to remember. What better way is there to remember a place and time than with a TATTOO!!

Our first milestone to celebrate is making it past the Arctic Circle. We had a week to spare in Anchorage waiting on the Ferry to take us South. We found a tattoo artist by the name of Eli at Above the Rest Tattoo. He comes from a family of tattooers and was very happy to accommodate us.

Carmen is  first up  to go under the needle. She chose to have a quote on her forearm.  The quote is "the trouble is, you think you have time" - Buddha.

The first thing we take for granted is time. We put off the things we really want to do or need to do for someday which we are not guaranteed.

Matthew had a tattoo done on his leg, but decided not to show it for the whole world.
It is travel related.. and if you know me feel free to ask and I will tell you all about it.

Thank you Eli! You have a great career ahead of you. Keep up the great work!

So what could be the next big tattoo that we get?
Thoughts?

I have an idea.. but I'm not tellin' just yet.
